Top-class international spine expertise meets at Ulrich Medical
The tenth Spine Academy Meeting took place at Ulrich Medical in Ulm from May 14 to 16. A total of 80 spine specialists from all over the world took part in this anniversary edition. Ulrich Medical, manufacturer of spinal systems and contrast media injectors, hosted this training event, which has an excellent reputation in the international community.
Lectures, hands-on workshops, case discussions, to which participants could also bring their own cases – the Ulrich Medical Academy team had struck a chord with the doctors by putting together the program. This was also reflected in the doubling of registrations compared to previous years: 80 spine experts traveled from various EU countries, many also from Latin America, South Africa and Vietnam, to share their experiences at the Spine Academy Meeting.
Excellent training and peer-to-peer exchange
Current trends such as robotics and navigation in spinal surgery as well as the case discussions were particularly well received by the participants. “The case presentations and discussions with colleagues were the most important parts of the symposium,” said Prof. Dr. Balkan Cakir, Chief Physician of the Department of Trauma and Reconstructive Surgery at the Wertachklinik Bobingen and participant in the event. It offered spine specialists a unique opportunity to learn about current developments and challenges in their field and to expand their knowledge and skills. “The Spine Academy Meeting has established itself as an important platform to promote dialog and collaboration in the spine community. We are proud of this,” says Klaus Kiesel, CEO at Ulrich Medical.
