Have you ever experienced the problem of insufficient contrast in pulmonary CT?
The Contrast Booster supports patients during the Mueller maneuver, a special suction maneuver. This increases the contrast density in the target vessels during pulmonary embolism CTs, reduces incorrect contrasts and thus increases the diagnostic significance. In addition, the constant, reproduceable breathing position ensures a consistent and comparable quality of CT imaging during diagnostic check-ups.

Set-up and function of the Contrast Booster
Patient Interface Unit
The lightweight patient interface unit can be held with the mouth, without using the hands, and is ready to be used for the next examination in less than two minutes.
LED-indication
The LED indication on the patient interface unit shows the patient the intensity during the suction maneuver. This allows patients to control the suction intensity themselves.
Charge and Communication Unit
The charging unit mirrors the LED display of the patient interface unit and thus provides information about the suction intensity of the patient. The radiographer can thus intervene in the suction maneuver at any time.
Disposable Mouth Piece
To ensure a hygienic examination procedure, the mouthpieces are only intended for single use per patient.
